For love and for food!
Chef of the House is a kitchen studio that will offer hands on cooking classes, kids camps, parties, events and corporate team building activities. We will also offer seasonal dinners and a chef made to-go items in the very near future.
Kathleen Roussel and her husband Tate met in culinary school. The couple has been cooking and teaching cooking classes for the past decade. They have always dreamed of opening a space dedicated to food and sharing their love of cooking with others.
Chef Kathleen Roussel is the Head of the Culinary Arts Program at CCISD and the Owner/Founder of Chef of The House Cooking School. She is a classically trained chef with a degree from Le Cordon Bleu. She has over 18 years in the Culinary and Food & Beverage management field. She loves teaching and molding the minds of our future culinarians. In Chef’s free time she enjoys working out, dancing Zumba and spending time with her husband, her son Gunnar and two dogs, Nola and Lilly.
Chef Tate Roussel is the Food Science Teacher at Clear Springs High School and the Owner/Co-founder of Chef of The House Cooking School. He is a Food Scientist with a BS degree in Nutrition and Food Science from LSU and classically trained chef with from Le Cordon Bleu. He has over 20 years of experience in the Culinary Field. He loves teaching the science behind food and the impact they have on our bodies. In his free time, he enjoys working out, watching and coaching sports and spending time with his family.
